Hello Friends!
A couple of days ago the Lexington Writers’ Room had their monthly meetup of the Paper Play Zine Club. Erin gave me a prompt to “make a how-to zine, but with absurd directions.”
So I made a zine called “How To Draw Mr. Martin Short.”
If YOU have been wanting to draw Mr. Martin Short, you are NOT ALONE. This zine will tell you how to draw Mr. Martin Short in four easy steps!
Once you have learned how to draw Mr. Martin Short, you can apply that skill to any comedian! However, guard your skill and use it wisely. I wrote and drew a kids’ graphic novel about a fifth grade girl who draws her favorite comedian all the time and it got challenged or banned in like seven U.S. states. So there must be something about drawing comedians that is scary to authority!
This is a mini-zine. You print it single sided, on one sheet of paper. Then, you fold it, make one cut with scissors, and fold again so that the front and back covers are in the right place.
If this inspires you to draw your favorite comedian, please share what you made. 😀
